World Down Syndrome Awareness Month is celebrated each October to raise awareness of what Down syndrome is and the importance of inclusion as valued members of our community for all of those impacted.
Last week our remarkable Luling students, affected by Down Syndrome, were highlighted during our Homecoming events! Our students celebrated with high school administration during the homecoming parade by riding with them on the vintage fire truck. On Friday night, our students took the football field alongside our Varsity Football Team, showing unwavering support for Eagle Nation.
In LISD we believe that together, we can make a difference and build a more inclusive future for all of our students. We were honored to celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness Month and Eagle Homecoming together!
