Shanklin Elementary PK-2 students celebrated Fire Prevention Week with a visit from the Luling Fire Department. Firefighters Domke, Gragg and Tucker talk about fire safety, identified some of the tools they use and even allowed some of the students to try on their gear! The fire department provide all students with some information about fire safety to take home.

October is National Bullying Awareness Month, so Luling ISD is celebrating the anti-bully! Staff members are nominating their peers for the Zero Quit Hero Award. The Zero Quit Hero is someone who supports, uplifts, and goes the extra mile for the people around them.
