Everyday we are one day closer to our new elementary school being complete!

The November Spotlight Student of the Month for JH/HS is Jayden Hernandez!
Jayden constantly helps other students in each of his classes and goes above and beyond in classroom participation. Jayden tells everyone good morning/good afternoon as he passes them in the hallway, and is a joy to be around. Great job representing the Luling Eagles, Jayden!

The November Spotlight Student of the Month for Primary/Elementary is Ronderick Hughey (EJ)!
Ronderick is a first grader in Ms. Rodger's class. EJ has a positive attitude in class, is always kind and respectful, and works very hard in all subjects! He is also incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about music composers and geography!
Way to go EJ!

The November Spotlight Staff Member of the Month is CiCi Keilman!
Mrs. Keilman is one of our fabulous Shanklin Elementary teachers! Her fellow staff members cannot say enough about what an amazing teacher she is and how much they enjoy working with her! We are so happy that she is part of the Eagle family!

Thanks to everyone that has supported and participated in the awareness campaigns this month! It has been a busy month at Luling ISD! #breastcancerawareness #domesticviolenceawareness #stompoutbullying #unityday2020 #redribbonweek

The Senior Pep Rally and Senior Sunrise Breakfast have been rescheduled due to the cancellation of the football game.
The Breakfast and Pep Rally will be on Wednesday, November 18th. The Senior Breakfast will be at 7am and the Pep Rally will be at 6pm. All seniors, and their families, involved in football, cheer, dance, athletic training, and band will be recognized during the event.
At some point, we have all probably felt alone. Make a point to reach out and include others in activities at school. Be there to listen and support each other. #hereforyou #stompoutbullying
The teachers and staff at Gerdes Junior High celebrate Red Ribbon week and are wearing their mustaches to support being drug free.

We need your meal application!
Despite all students currently receiving free breakfast and lunch, each student needs to return a completed meal application to their campus. This will ensure that there is not a lapse in meal funding later this year for your child as well as to help our district obtain additional funding for the instructional needs of our students. Our meal applications are significantly down. We encourage all households to complete a meal application, even if you plan on sending lunch from home for your student. If you have any questions, please contact Food Services at 830-875-3191.
You can access the application at the link below, or contact your child's school for a paper copy to be sent home.

Problem solving in Coach DeCamp’s STEM class at Gerdes JH. Hmmmm....

Gerdes Junior High teachers are creating and building literacy rich classrooms by integrating anchor charts to support student learning!

Gerdes Junior High students and staff are wearing orange to support Unity Day. They are uniting together to stand against bullying! #unityday2020

Students in Ms. Berg’s class at Gerdes JH are learning how to properly use commas in a series in ELA.

Not only does Coach Bullock have the coolest mask ever, he was purposefully grouping his students as they entered the classroom today at Gerdes JH. Best practices in education show that the teacher should determine groups of students who should work together based on the teacher’s knowledge of student strengths and weakesses!

Unity Day is tomorrow and all of Luling ISD will be wearing orange to come together and UNITE together against bullying! #unityday2020
