All campuses will be on a normal schedule tomorrow, January 9th.
While it will be cold and rainy, there is no prediction of ice in our area.
Our schools are warm and dry - the best place for our students to be to continue learning!

Winter is officially here and Luling ISD has been closely monitoring the weather. Any decisions regarding delays or cancellations will be made using the latest information and in consultation with emergency management officials.
Please continue to monitor your specific channels regarding weather-related updates if your child is involved in Athletics or other outdoor activities that may need to be canceled, rescheduled, or moved indoors.
Parents, guardians, and staff will be notified if there are any changes to Luling ISD's plans. If needed, those notifications will be made via Rooms, social media, email, texts, and district and campus websites. Please ensure your contact information is updated.

We were excited to welcome our staff back today, and teachers were hard at work preparing for our students' return tomorrow! Reading Language Arts teachers in grades 3-11 met to analyze student responses and plan differentiated support to help students achieve their best on the writing part of the STAAR later this spring. #LulingPrepare

Winter break, here we come!

Come out and help celebrate the upcoming holiday season, listen to some great music, and support the JH Band tonight!

Shanklin Elementary had their annual bike give-away with the help of members from the Hardeman Masonic Lodge #179 from Luling. This organization has been donating bikes to students in Luling ISD for over 30 years for skills associated with reading. This year, the recipents were selected by the progress they have made on their Amplify reading program.
Congratulations students! Keep up the great work!

Each year, our students have the opportunity to create the Christmas card the district sends out. Shanklin fifth grader Manuel Hernandez Rivera created the winning card this year! This morning, Ms. Meshell and Ms. Warren presented him with copies of the card for his friends and family and his reward. #LulingPrepare #LulingEmpower #LulingInspire

Join us tonight for the High School Band Winter Concert! ❄️ Come enjoy an evening of festive music and incredible talent.
Let’s support our amazing students and get into the holiday spirit!

Fuel up for success! Don’t let your brain run on empty—grab breakfast and lunch in the cafeteria this week! Because even Einstein didn’t skip meals.

This morning, Shanklin's mentors and mentees enjoyed breakfast together. Thank you, mentors, for supporting our new teachers and providing guidance, strategies, and encouragement on their first-year teacher journey!

Our dedicated campus leaders and instructional coaches are hard at work planning instruction to help students soar to new heights. Their collaboration ensures every student gets the tools they need to succeed. Thank you for inspiring greatness in every classroom! #LulingZeroQuit

Skipping breakfast or lunch? Bold choice... but can your brain survive on gum and vibes?
Come grab the good stuff: bagels, subs, tacos, pizza, and more! Your stomach (and your test scores) will thank you.

Shanklin Elementary brightened this dreary Wednesday with students and staff rocking their house shirts and festive holiday bling! Way to spread the cheer! #Lulinglearns #ronclarkhousesystem #HolidayJoy

Shanklin staff and students are in the spirit of the season! Today's theme was dress like Frosty the Snowman so several students and staff wore white, a scarf, or a hat. Tomorrow's theme is Deck the Halls. Wear your holiday lights or sparkly things with your "House" shirt!

Thanksgiving leftovers are history—time for the real feast! Fuel your brains with school breakfast and lunch this week!

We are grateful for our students, staff, families, and community. Wishing everyone a joyful holiday filled with gratitude and good company.
