Provide a challenging, rigorous curriculum that develops citizens who are prepared, empowered, and inspired to make positive contributions in our communities.

2019-2020 GOALS

      

Goal 1: Increase student achievement through a strong literacy foundation for all.

 

            GPM 1.1 – The percentage of Pre-Kindergarten students who meet kindergarten readiness in literacy as measured by the CIRCLE assessment will increase from 68% to 72%.

            GPM 1.2 – The percentage of students in kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades who are reading on or above grade level as measured by MAP indicators will increase from 60% to 64%.

            GPM 1.3 – The percentage of students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade who are reading on grade level as measured by the Reading STAAR assessment will increase from 59% to 62%.

            GPM 1.4 - The percentage of students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade who are reading on grade level as measured by the Reading STAAR assessment will increase from 55% to 58%.

            GPM 1.5 - The percentage of 9th and 10th graders who are reading on grade level as measured by the English I and II STAAR assessment will increase from 53% to 57%.

 

Goal 2: Increase student achievement through a strong math foundation for all.

 

            GPM 2.1 – The percentage of Pre-Kindergarten students who meet kindergarten readiness in math as measured by the CIRCLE assessment will increase from 75% to 79%.

            GPM 2.2 – The percentage of students in kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades who are on or above grade level in math as measured by MAP indicators will increase from 60% to 64%.

            GPM 2.3 – The percentage of students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade who are on grade level in math as measured by the Math STAAR assessment will increase from 65% to 68%.

            GPM 2.4 - The percentage of students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade who are on grade level as measured by the Math STAAR assessment will increase from 54% to 59%.

            GPM 2.5 - The percentage of 9th graders who are on grade level in math as measured by the Algebra I STAAR assessment will increase from 73% to 76%.

 

 

Goal 3: Establish an effective district-wide system to enhance and expand communication among the community, the district, and the schools.

 

            GPM 3.1 - Develop a communication plan to provide both one-way and two-way communication systems between the district and community, campuses and community, among campuses, and district to campus.
