LISD Welcomes Laura Eubank as New Luling Primary Principal

LISD is pleased to announce and welcome Laura Eubank as the new principal at Luling Primary. Mrs. Eubank has worked at the campus level for the past 8 years, as a teacher and assistant principal. She has a BA in Music Education from Augustana College and a Masters in Educational Administration from Concordia University. Her Texas certifications include a Principal Certificate, Generalist Grades EC-6, and Music Grades EC-12.
We are excited to see Mrs. Eubank enhance and continue to build on the great things happening at Luling Primary. Please help us welcome Mrs. Eubank to the Luling Primary family.

LISD Welcomes Stephanie Heinchon as New Shanklin Elementary Principal

LISD is pleased to announce and welcome Stephanie Heinchon as the new principal at Shanklin Elementary. Mrs. Heinchon has worked at the campus, district, and regional level for the past 22 years, as a teacher, curriculum leader, literacy specialist, and director. She has a BA in Language Arts from St. Edward’s University and a Masters in Reading from Texas State University. Her Texas certifications include a Principal Certificate, Reading Specialist, Self-Contained Grades 1-6, English Grades 1-6, Reading Grades 1-6, and Generalist Grades EC-4.

LISD Welcomes Susan Maxey as New Executive Director of Special Programs

LISD is pleased to announce and welcome Susan Maxey as the new Executive Director of Special Programs. As a professional educator, she has worked as an English teacher in public and independent schools. She has served as a teacher and an advocate for advanced learners and as a leader of gifted programs at the classroom, district, and regional levels in Texas.

Ms. Maxey formerly served as the Specialist for Advanced Academics & Differentiation at Education Service Center Region 13. Later, she coordinated the Region 13’s Department of Differentiation & Program Support, which included Dyslexia, 504, Bilingual and ESL, and Early Childhood programs. She also co-directed the Transformation Central T-STEM Center.

Since 2013, she has served Hays Consolidated Independent School District as the Director of Professional Learning. Ms. Maxey holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Texas State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in English from The University of Texas at Austin.

LISD Welcomes Christy Henry as New Secondary C & I Coordinator

LISD is pleased to announce and welcome Christy Henry as the new Secondary Curriculum and Instruction Coordinator. Ms. Henry has prior experience in Hays CISD as a district Instructional Coach, Administrative Intern, Professional Developer, and ELAR Teacher. Ms. Henry has 11 years of experience in education. She has a BS in Multidisciplinary Studies from Texas Tech University and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas - Arlington. Her Texas certifications include a pending EC-12 Principal, Self-Contained Grades 1-8 and History Grades 1-8.
