Our mission is to provide a safe, positive learning environment so that each student meets high standards for academic performance and receives the best education possible.  We realize that this is a combined effort among community members, parents, students, and staff, and we will work diligently to see that this is accomplished.  Our intent is to ensure that every student who passes through this school demonstrates the knowledge and skills required for success in a dynamic world and is prepared for responsible citizenship.  user inserted image

 Accueil, Willkommen, Bienvenida, Welcome Parents, Community to Shanklin Elementary.
 
I am Debora Ribble, Principal of Shanklin Elementary and I am excited about the 2012-2013 school year and working in conjunction with you, your family and the community to educate our children.  We have a great administrative team working here at Shanklin, Evelyn Hernandez is our Assistant Principal and Dianne Teafatiller is our Counselor.
 
As an Administrative Team we are looking forward to a wonderful school year with you and your child.

An Evening with the Superintendent
As the Superintendent for Luling ISD, I would like to invite the parents and community of Luling to join me in a open dialogue to discuss the mission, goals and academic progress of the district.

Three separate dates have been scheduled for an evening with the Superintendent:
  • Thursday, June 20 at 6:00 PM in the Luling Conference and Learning Center
  • Friday, June 21 at 6:00 PM in the Luling Conference and Learning Center
  • Tuesday, June 25 at 6:00 PM in the Luling Conference and Learning Center
I am eager to gain feedback from the community as we work together to improve the academic performance of all students and define the purpose of Luling ISD. Please take the opportunity to meet with me at one of the three scheduled meetings.  I look forward to the discussion and your questions.

Summer School will be from June 10 - June 28th.
Schedule for Luling Junior High School Summer School:  Last day of classes will be Monday, June 24th.  Testing dates will be on June 25th and 26th.

Board of Trustee Meeting
The next regular meeting of the Board of Trustees will be held on Monday, June 24, 2013 at the Luling ISD Conference & Learning Center starting at 6:00 PM.

STAAR Re-Test Dates
June re-test dates for STAAR will be held on Tuesday, June 25 and Wednesday, June 26.
Tuesday-  Grade 5 Mathematics (English & Spanish) / Grade 8 Mathematics
Wednesday- Grade 5 Reading (English & Spanish) / Grade 8 Reading
